How to Measure your Leg Length
Most wave skis are custom-made for each buyer because people do not have a standard leg length.
But you can sometimes find a used ski where the person has the same leg length as you so that ski could also work for you.
So when ordering a wave ski, I need to know your leg length. I have found a simple way to do this:
1. Stand on the floor barefooted. (do not hunch over, stand straight)
2. measure from the floor to the center of your belly button.
This length will equal the space from the back of the seat to the front of the footwells and your knees will be bent at a comfortable angle.
IF YOU ARE DISABLED AND WANT TO HAVE YOUR LEGS STRAIGHT OUT INFRONT OF YOU (KNEES NOT BENT) Then sit on the floor facing the wall, with your legs straight and your heels up against the wall. put a book on the floor against your back. measure the distance from the wall to the book.
IF YOU ARE DISABLED BUT WANT TO HAVE YOUR KNEES BENT WHILE SITTING ON THE SKI, THEN DO THE SAME MEASUREMENT AS ABOVE, BUT SUBTRACT 3 INCHES FROM THAT NUMBER.
When you order a wave ski have your leg length measurement ready to give to me.
